Unfortunately, we don’t know when Xiaomi plans to finalize the Android 11 rollout for these phones by rolling it out to all regions. However, we do know that the update will arrive before MIUI 12.5 starts rolling out. Hence, we may see the update start rolling out in the coming weeks, which makes it important that you download and install the new global Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9S update to fortify your device.

The update, of course, is a limited rollout. It’s arriving in batches for selected users with a version number – MIUI 12.0.3.0 QJSMIXM for the Redmi Note 9 Pro users. Redmi Note 9S users are getting an MIUI 12.0.6.0 QJWMIXM and weighs in at 607MB. Both devices are pushing a security patch build that bumps the Android patch level to March 2021. Of course, that’s not the current version, but that could mean the build has been in development for some time now. We expect a new update to roll out soon with the current patch level.
