It has been months since Xiaomi released Android 11 for the POCO X3 NFC units sold in Europe. We anticipated the same for the global variants, but that hasn’t happened. Initially, the update was delayed for other regions due to bugs to let developers fix them before extending the rollout. However, most of the bugs have been addressed in subsequent Android 11 updates that have been rolling out in Europe. The global variants, for some reason, are still on Android 10, which looks like it isn’t going to change soon as a new global stable POCO X3 NFC update starts seeding.
The new global stable POCO X3 NFC update, of course, sans Android 11 and MIUI 12.5. It’d bring the latest security patch level making it the first Xiaomi phone with the latest Android security patch level. The update is arriving in a 671MB package with a version number – MIUI 12.0.9.0 QJGMIXM. As usual, only beta testers will receive the build for preview, and in the end, if everything is smooth, the public rollout will commence immediately. But you can use the links below to download the ROM manually and flash if you’ve got an authorized Mi Beta account or TWRP Recovery installed.
Unfortunately, we don’t know when Xiaomi will push Android 11 to global users. The update is probably under internal testing, and until completed, that’s when the update will start seeding. And while waiting, it’s necessary that you download the new global stable POCO X3 NFC update to fortify the device ahead of the upgrade. You should follow our tracker to remain updated and also know when the update becomes available in your region.
