It has since been confirmed that Redmi Note 8 will receive the Android 11 update. Xiaomi has also released the update to Chinese users, but it seems the global models have to wait a bit longer. Hopefully, the experience will be different from that of Android 10 that arrived alongside the MIUI 12 update. Also, we don’t see the device receiving both Android 11 and MIUI 12.5 simultaneously, and hence, we expect the former to start seeding anytime soon. Meanwhile, the update has a version number – MIUI 12.0.4.0 QCOMIXM. It has already arrived for those in Europe, and with the global users now receiving the update, it won’t be long until those in India get the update as well. And just maybe, Xiaomi plans to start the Android 11 rollout in India.
