The Xiaomi Mi A3 might have received its last OS upgrade, but the device is still eligible for a monthly security patch update, at least, for another year. It received Android 11 a couple of months ago, and according to the Android One policy, that’s where the journey ends. Unfortunately, there’s no successor, meaning Xiaomi has abandoned the Mi A-series lineup. And depending on how you look at it, the decision makes sense given the complexities of Android One updates, especially OS upgrades, over the last few years.
The Android 11 update for the Mi A3 isn’t an exception, as it left many devices dead. That has been sorted out now, but few bugs have remained, and luckily, developers keep working hard to fix all that. With the new Mi A3 update in Europe, some of the bugs have been fixed, although the update only brings the March security patch. That’s according to the changelog, but you will notice other improvements after installing the build. And yes, the update is safe.
Meanwhile, the update has a version number – V12.0.5.0 RFQEUXM – and weighs in at 188MB. It’s a stable rollout, meaning you will soon get a prompt notification for the new Mi A3 update in Europe. However, if you opt for manual Installation, you can use the link below this post and download the Recovery ROM. For the global ROM users, the same update was released a few days ago. You can access the full post from this link.
