It’s time to download the new Redmi 8 update, which started arriving some days ago. The update is based on Android 9, but updates the Android Security Patch level to increase system security and stability. It also fixes some bugs while optimizing system performance.
New Redmi 8 update Changelog
Other
- Optimized system performance
- Improved system security and stability
From the Changelog, the update comes with just optimization and improved system performance. However, if you’re facing a bug with the scrolling feature in the screenshot, the update will fix the bug. You will experience an improved battery performance as well as smooth operation on your device, along with other improvements.
Currently, the update is hitting the global version of the device and comes with a version number MIUI 11.0.7.0 PCNINXM. It weighs 256MB and would require you to update by connecting to Wi-Fi. But you can always download with your mobile data anywhere.
Unfortunately, we don’t have the download links for the new Redmi 8 update, but you can always check for the update using the updater app. All you need to do is to navigate through Settings> My Device> MIUI version for an automatic scan. Repeat the process by tapping “check for updates” just to be sure the update is yet to arrive. At this stage, you need to exercise some patience and check back later.
A reminder that the Redmi 8 runs MIUI 10 on top Android 9 outside the box, but you will get MIUI 11 update once you scan for new update. The device is propelled by SD 439 paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. You get a fingerprint scanner and a face ID while the battery capacity is 5000mAh. It supports 18W fast charge via USB-C port, so you don’t worry about charging the phone and you get all that for just $100. Order here
