New update available for Indian ROM users – MIUI 12.0.5.0 QCTINXM. Download below…
With Xiaomi currently sending out a new Redmi 9 Global update, it means more users will finally receive the MIUI 12 update. It’s been quite a long time since the device received its first MIUI 12 build. However, many users are yet to receive the update for the first time, but will finally receive the update, with the current build rolling out for the global users. Also, it could mean the Redmi 9 Prime, which is a rebadged Redmi 9 for the Indian market, could soon start getting the update as well.
Meanwhile, for those running the MIUI 12 ROM on their Redmi 9 Global model, you’ll receive a package of around 172MB in size. It has a version number, MIUI 12.0.2.0 QJCMIXM, and will arrive via OTA. You can check the updater app for the update or wait for the OTA to appear in the next couple of days. Also, you can make use of the links below for manual flashing.
As per the changelog, the new Redmi 9 Global update brings few changes. It has “optimized system performance and improved system security and stability.” It has fixed some minor bug as well. And since the device has only received just one MIUI upgrade, it’ll also get the MIUI 12.5 update.
Xiaomi will officially introduce the next iteration of MIUI on December 28. And going by one of the company’s executives, the MIUI 12.5 update will improve system optimization and stability. Of course, it will introduce other features, some of which we highlighted here. Also, check for the supposed list of Xiaomi devices eligible for the MIUI 12.5 update as we wait for official confirmation.
