New Redmi K20 Pro update – MIUI 12.0.6.0 QFKINXM- released in India…
The Redmi K20 Pro is among the few Xiaomi phones that’ll receive their first Android 11 build very soon. Before the China development ROM was suspended, the company announced the device, among over nine other phones, have received their last Android 10 based MIUI 12 update. That’s for closed beta testers, though. However, that’s the first step for every major Xiaomi update, and it won’t be long till the stable ROM users get the update after it arrives for closed beta testers.
We expect the first Redmi K20 Pro Android 11 build to start seeding along with MIUI 12.5, which the company will unveil on December 28. And as we wait for the official unveiling, a new Redmi K20 Pro update has just been released. It’s a security patch update to improve system security and stability for the Indian variants.
As usual, only a few selected users will receive the update. They’re to preview the ROM for bugs and report back to developers. The public rollout will start after the preview and if no bug is found.
Meanwhile, the new Redmi K20 Pro update is hitting eligible users as MIUI 12.0.4.0 QFKINXM and weighs in at 481MB. It usually takes a few days before appearing on all eligible units, but longer if bugs are found in the build. However, we have added a link below this post, and you can download the recovery and OTA ROM via the link. But you might need an authorized Mi Beta account to be able to flash the ROM unless you have TWRP Recovery installed.
As for when Android 11 will be available for the device, there’s no ETA. You can follow our Android 11 update tracker as to know when the update starts seeding.
