As for the global Redmi Note 8 users, a new update is likely to start rolling out this week, according to Xiaomi support. Those users on V11.0.11.0 are yet to receive the MIUI 12 update for the first time, but that will soon start change. According to our previous reports, Xiaomi had to delay the update due to some bugs, which later had the update stopped for every version.
However, we might see the rollout restarted this week going, by the response of Xiaomi Support to an inquisitive Redmi Note 8 user. That said, we will be monitoring the situation, hoping that the update will start seeding this week.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi is believed to be testing Android 11 internally for the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro. A move that will see the Redmi Note 8T receive the Android 11 as well. You can read the full story here.
