A time when every Redmi Note 8/8T phone users are hoping to get either the Android 10 or MIUI 12 update, a new update just been released for device. The update, however, isn’t what most people were anticipating. It’s a MIUI 11 based Android 9 update, and hence, the wait for MIUI 12 and Android 10 for the device continues.
The MIUI 12 update for Redmi Note 8/8T, which will be based on Android 10, is said to start arriving this month. However, with the release of a new MIUI 11 stable security patch update, any hope of seeing the update start arriving in the next few days might have been crushed. But regardless of how long the device is made to wait for the MIUI 12, it will never change the fact that the device is eligible for the update and will surely get it.
With that said, you should head over to system updates and check for the new Redmi Note 8T stable update as to improve your device security and stability. It has a build number, MIUI 11.0.11.0 PCXEUXM, and weighs in at 310MB. Meanwhile, you might receive a different sized update if your current security patch level is in May.
Also, the update is still in the beta phase, and as such, only a limited number of users will receive it.
