Here’s the crux of the matter: the New Samsung Repair mode is to keep sensitive data safe during repair, quite impressive. Usually, people tend to reset their smartphones before leaving them at the repair center to lower the risk of privacy intrusion. We think this is going to change with the new Samsung Repair mode.
Backing up the data and then trying to access them back could be a big deal that’s why the Korean tech giant has decided to look into the matter. It can be accessed via the Battery and Device care screen in your Settings section, when it’s activated your phone reboots.

The feature hides all your data like photos, messages, and likes leaving just the default apps on the phone just like when the phone is reset. Interestingly, once you’re done at a repair center, you can simply deactivate the feature by using your fingerprint or other security codes.
On deactivating the new Samsung Repair mode, all your data is restored including changes made by the technician during the repair. In addition, there’s an option to create a log showing recent issues and the apps in use when they occurred. Of course, no personal data will be revealed and it can help diagnose the problem.
The New Samsung Repair mode is currently available on the Galaxy S21 and according to the brand, more devices should be getting the feature soon. Meanwhile, we think the home of Samsung gets to test this feature before it comes to other regions.
