The wait for Android continues as Redmi Note 8 Pro receives a new update in India
The Redmi Note 8 Pro, alongside the vanilla Note 8, are among Xiaomi phones that launched in 2019 eligible for Android 11. That seems like it as Xiaomi starts rolling out a new update for the units sold in India to increase the system security.
The new stable Redmi Note 8 Pro update in India is essentially a security patch build. It comes as MIUI 12.0.5.0 QGGINXM and weighs in at 726MB. Of course, that size is big for a patch build, which indicates that it brings more other than just a new Android security level ( April 2021).
