Xiaomi was among the first OEMs to start rolling out Android 11 to eligible devices in its stable. So far, the company has upgraded its flagship phones while some mid-range devices have received the build. And among the few mid-range is the Redmi Note 9 Pro. It was late last year that Xiaomi released the update, but only in selected regions. They’re yet to extend rollout, and going by our previous report, the update will arrive very soon – just before MIUI 12.5 starts rolling out.
Meanwhile, a new Stable update for Redmi Note 9 Pro has been released. The update is for the Russian branch of MIUI, and it brings the April security patch to increase system security. It has a version number – MIUI 12.0.4.0 QJZRUXM – and weighs in at 639MB. That size is big for a patch update, which makes us believe the update brings additional features and optimization. Perhaps, it’s to fortify the device ahead of the Android 11 upgrade. Unfortunately, we don’t know when Xiaomi plans to start pushing the update, but we believe it’ll be soon.
Again, the update is for the Russian branch of MIUI. If you own a Redmi Note 9 Pro running a stable Russia ROM, you can check for the new stable update for Redmi Note 9 Pro via System Updates ( Updater App). As for when Android 11 will be released for more people, there’s no ETA. However, you can follow our tracker to be notified when the update starts seeding.
