MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition: New update for Mi 10T & Mi 10T Pro released

On August 10, Xiaomi unveiled its latest flagship phone – Mi Mix 4, three years after Mi Mix 3. The event saw the release of Mi Pad 5 and Pad 5 Pro and an Enhanced version of MIUI 12.5. According to Xiaomi, during the launch, the latest version of MIUI will start seeding today – August 13. Interestingly, a new update for Mi 10T & Mi 10T Pro has been released to the global and European models. The question being asked by many users is if the update rolling out is MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition.

First, the new update for Mi 10T & Mi 10T Pro is seeding with a version number – MIUI 12.5.4.0 RJDEUXM – in Europe. The global users are receiving a stable MIUI 12.5.2.0 RJDMIXM build. It’s a security patch update that bumps the Android security level to July 2021 to increase system security and stability. However, that’s for those running the MIUI 12.5 build already. If you’re on MIUI 12, you will receive an update with features of the new MIUI OS. It is a 697MB package, and you can download it below.

The big question remains if the current build is Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5. No, it is not. Xiaomi will start seeding the build-in China today. It is expected to arrive on a handful of phones, which include the Redmi K30S (Mi 10T). Of course, the device will receive the build later in China before it starts seeding for the Global users, and hence, the new update for Mi 10T & Mi 10T Pro is not the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition.

Again, it’s not clear if the update will be released Globally as the company didn’t say anything about global availability. There’s a possibility we see the build arrive on global units, but that’ll probably take weeks. Nevertheless, we will keep track of the development and will report here once the update starts seeding.
