Also, it features a more powerful SOC, but with the Snapdragon 860 on the Mi Pad 5, there won’t be much difference in performance. Xiaomi has equipped the Mi Pad 5 with the best displays out there. It sports an 11-inch that supports 120Hz, HDR 10, Dolby Vision to improve color and details. The 1600 X 2560px resolution display has over 1B colors, a wide color gamut, and a True Tone.

Under the hood is the Snapdragon 860 Octa-Core processor. It has its highest cores clocking at 2.96GHz, and with the 6GB RAM, the tablet will deliver peak performance. Also, there’s an Adreno 660 GPU to handle graphics while MIUI for tablets spices things up. Outside of the box, you get Android 11 on top of MIUI 12.5.

Here’s where there’s a big gap between the Pro variants. Xiaomi equipped the tablet with a single 13MP snapper, while there’s a dual primary 50MP sensor on the Pro variant. Luckily, it can shoot 4k@30fps, and that’s impressive. On the front panel is a single 8MP shooter capable of 1080p@30fps.

Surprisingly, the Mi Pad 5 has a beefy battery. And with no cellular connectivity, the 8720mAh battery can go a week on a single charge. However, with 33W fast charging support, it would take a while for a full charge. As for security, there’s no fingerprint scanner, and hence, you’ll make use of in-built security features.

The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 price starts at $310 for the base 6/128GB and goes up to $355 for the 6/256GB models. Both variants are already up for pre-orders and it is available in Green, Black, and Green color options.
