Xiaomi Mi 9 and Mi 9T Pro are both eligible for the Android 11 and MIUI 12.5 updates, but so far, none of the builds are ready to start rolling out. Also, it’s still unclear if the duo will receive both builds simultaneously, just like the Mi 9 SE, but we hope to find out soon. However, as a way to fortify the devices ahead of the upgrade, a new update for Mi 9 and Mi 9T Pro in Europe has been released.
Of course, the update sans Android 11 but could push the Android security patch level to April 2021. It increased system security, improved performance, and stability while fixing some bugs. The update is hitting a few selected users for beta preview, which will last for a few days. In the end, the public will start receiving the update, but if the preview is successful.
Meanwhile, the update is hitting eligible users with a version number – MIUI 12.0.5.0 QFAEUXM – in a 276MB package for the Mi 9 units, while Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro users are getting a stable MIUI 12.0.5.0 QFKEUXM.
