Xiaomi begins sending out a new update for Redmi 9C NFC and Mi Mix 2S to the global ROM users. The update is a limited release and will take some days before appearing on all devices. However, you can download both the Recovery and OTA ROM from the links below. And if you encounter an error doing that, you should try back after some days or wait for OTA to arrive.
The Redmi 9C NFC is receiving an update with a version number, MIUI 12.0.5.0 QCSMIXM, and weighs in at 314MB. It’s a patch update that bumps the Android security patch level to December 2020 and improved system security. For the Mi Mix 3S, the update carries a version number, MIUI 12.0.3.0 QGDMIXM. It’s for global users and is based on Android 10. As per the changelog, the update bumps the security patch level to December 2020 and improves system security. And now, tapping on a blank spot in the control center closed it now.
After installing the update, you’d notice other changes and some system improvement. Meanwhile, for those that opt for manual installation, you might encounter an error, and that would be because the update is on a limited rollout. In that case, you should give it some days or wait for the update.
