Well, that took some time to come, unlike in previous months. At a time, we were beginning to think maybe Xiaomi wants to surprise everyone and start releasing Android 11 for the eligible Android One phones as none have received the November security patch before now. Unfortunately, even if that should happen, Mi A2 Android OS support has come to an end. It can only receive security patch updates, and just as expected, that of November is now live.
The November security patch update for Mi A2 has been released for the global ROM users. It’s a stable update, meaning it will appear on all eligible units over the next few hours. Also, the fastboot ROM is available for download, in case you want to go fastboot.
As per the changelog, the update, aside from bumping the security patch level to November 2020, as usual, also optimized system performance as well as improved system security and stability. It’s yet to be seen if any of the previously reported bugs have been fixed, but since this latest build didn’t usher in a new bug, we recommend that you download when prompted.
Meanwhile, the November security patch update for Mi A2 is currently arriving for the global models. It has a version number, V11.0.17.0 QDIMIXM, and we expect other regions to start getting the update very soon. For global ROM users, you can download both the recovery and fastboot ROM below.
