Xiaomi starts seeding the October 2022 security patch update

Xiaomi has started rolling out the October 2022 security patch update. The company is seeding the update to limited users globally and will soon release the update to more of their device users. 

Many people have criticized Xiaomi for its lack of timely security patch update releases. The company worked on that and has become one of the leading OEMs in rolling out the latest security patches. They’ve been consistent for the past three months delivering new patch updates even before Samsung and Google.

As expected, the October 2022 security patch update is now seeding for select users. The Xiaomi Mi 10T & 10T Pro users are getting the update in Europe. We expect other regions and devices to start getting the update in the coming days.

Meanwhile, if you’re using the Mi 10T series phone, you can identify the update with the version number MIUI 13.0.10.0 SJDEUXM. It bumps the Android security patch level to October 2022 and increases system security and stability. Of course, there have been some optimizations and bug fixes.

Xiaomi has released the October 2022 security patch to the Mi 11X Pro in India. Also, the Xiaomi 12T Pro is getting the new patch in Taiwan with a version number MIUI 13.0.3.0 SLFTWXM. The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE has started receiving the October 2022 security patch. Those running the global and Indian ROM are currently getting the update. It comes with a version number MIUI 13.0.6.0 SKOMIXM and MIUI 13.0.8.0 SKOMIXM, respectively. You can download here.
