October 2023 Google Play System update rolling out, Pixel phones till ok August 1, 2023

Google has started rolling out the Play System update for October 2023. The update, which improves core functionalities of Android, is now available with some improvements and new features. However, Pixel phones are not getting the update just yet, and hopefully, it will arrive with stable Android 14 tomorrow.

The Google Play System update brings improvements and new features to the three cores of the Android system. They include Google Play Services, Google Play System, and Google Play Store. Google releases updates every month to improve them, with that of October 2023 now rolling out. Unfortunately, Pixel phones are stuck on the August 1, 2023 update, but that could change with the Android 14 release tomorrow.

Meanwhile, there’s a new Google Play System update available for Pixel phones. It weighs 2.0MB, and you can check via Settings>>Security & Privacy>>Updates. Click on Google Play System update and download the new update. You will need to restart your device to complete the installation.

The October 2023 Google Play System update, as usual, brings some new features. They are available via the Google Play store, hence, you need to update to receive them. Open your Google Play Store app and Click on the profile avatar. Click on Settings>>About and scroll down to update play store.
