The October security patch builds for Xiaomi phones have started seeding. As expected, the Xiaomi Mi A3 was among the few devices to receive the update, which has now arrived for the Redmi 9 (India). The October security patch for Redmi 9 sans both Android 11 and MIUI 12.5, but it could be that Xiaomi is planning to upgrade the device to Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5.
For starters, Redmi 9 (India) is different from the Redmi 9 Prime. The latter has received the stable MIUI 12.5 update and will soon get that Enhance version. Unfortunately, the former is still waiting, but we believe the current build is to fortify the device ahead of the planned upgrade.
