Xiaomi is yet to start deploying a stable MIUI 12 update to the Redmi 8 users, but that’s not stopping developers from upgrading the device security patch. The Redmi Note 8 Pro, however, received the MIUI 12 a couple of months ago and is now getting a new stable build, which comes along with the October security patch, optimization, and bug fixes.
The October security patch update for Redmi Note 8 Pro is coming as MIUI 12.0.4.0 QGGCNXM and weighs in at 291MB. Aside from bumping the security patch level to October and improving the system security, it also optimized the control center layout in landscape mode.
Meanwhile, the update is for the Chinese stable ROM users and will progressively arrive for eligible users soon. As for the new stable Redmi 8 update, it’s arriving for those running the official Indonesian ROM. It brings the October security fix and also improves system security.
The update is arriving with a build number, MIUI 11.0.2.0 QCNIDXM, and will arrive for eligible users over the next few days. However, you can still download and flash manually using the recovery method.
