The Xiaomi Mi A3 being part of the company’s Android one program is eligible for at least three years of support but will only receive two Android upgrades during those three years. It has already received its first Android OS update earlier this year, which left some bugs that developers are struggling to fix with subsequent updates.
As usual, the device is now getting the October security patch update. Going by the changelog, the update is aimed at improving system security and fixing bugs. It also improves system stability and optimizes your device. And while there’s a performance improvement, there isn’t yet a breakthrough with some of the bugs reported earlier.
Meanwhile, the October security patch update for the Mi A3, luckily, didn’t introduce a new bug. It, however, improves the system performance, and hence, you should proceed to download the update when prompted.
The update is arriving for both the global and the EEA users. It comes with a version number, V11.0.22.0 QFQMIXM, and V11.0.9.0 QFOEUXM, respectively. Of course, it’s based on Android 10 and will arrive on all compatible units over the next few days.
For now, we can’t confirm if the update came with a fix for any of the bugs introduced by the Android 10 update. We expect to learn about that over the next few hours as the update just got released. And if you have downloaded the October security patch update for the Mi A3 already, we would like to know your experience via the comment section.
