Xiaomi has now released the official MIUI 12.5 release plan. The new UI has already arrived for closed beta testers, with a few of the devices also receiving Android 11 as part of the build.
Official MIUI 12.5 release plan and supported devices
About 20 Xiaomi phones have received the update, with an extra eight expected to join the list in mid-January. Meanwhile, the first batch of Xiaomi phones that have received the MIUI 12.5 beta update according to the official release plan includes;
Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 9 SE, Mi 9, Redmi K20 Pro, Mi CC9e, Redmi Note7, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi K30 Pro / POCO F2 Pro, Redmi K30 5G, Mi 10 Youth Edition, Redmi K30 4G / POCO X2, Mi Note 10 / Mi CC9 Pro, Redmi K20 / Mi 9T, Mi 10T / Redmi K30S Ultra, Mi 10 Ultra, Redmi K30 Ultra, Redmi 10X 5G, Redmi 10X Pro, Redmi Note 9 5G / 9T, Redmi K30i 5G.
The second batch, which is expected to start seeding mid to late January, includes Mi 9 Pro 5G, Mi 9 Lite / Mi CC9, Mi CC9 Meitu Edition, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G / Mi 10i / Mi 10T Lite, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 9 4G / Redmi 9T / Redmi 9 Power. The update will arrive with a new Android OS – Android 11.
The official MIUI 12.5 release plan has also revealed when we can expect the stable version. The first to receive the stable MIUI 12.5 update, from April, is the newly released Mi 11, alongside the Mi 10 Ultra, Mi 10 Pro, and Mi 10. It’s still unclear when the second batch will start and the phones that’ll receive the update with it. However, looking at the MIUI 12.5 China beta schedule, those devices on the list will be on the second wave of the update. We hope to find out when to expect the rollout, and for that, we’ll be keeping a close look at the official Xiaomi channels for updates.
