One UI 6.1 update is now available for download

Samsung released the Galaxy S24 series early this year, running One UI 6.1. The latest Android skin from the Korean company has been exclusive to the new flagship phones, but older models are now getting the much-anticipated upgrade. It is the Galaxy S23 series phones that have started receiving the upgrade, with a wider rollout expected in the coming days.

One UI 6.1 update

Since the release of Galaxy S24 with One UI 6.1, there have been questions about when older phones will get the update. Seeing Galaxy AI features it supported, it became an anxious wait for some users. And while all the Galaxy S23 series models will get the upgrade, only those in Verizon’s network are currently getting the update.

The One UI 6.1 update is available in the US for the carrier-locked models. We expect more people to get the upgrade in the coming days, including the factory-unlocked models. However, since it’s an OTA release, it might take weeks before the update becomes available in your region. And if you’re in these countries the update is live, you might wait for feedback before installing the build.
