Samsung debuted the Galaxy S24 series, running the latest Android OS on top of One UI 6.1. The new firmware packs many AI features, which will arrive on older phones getting the update. Interestingly, we won’t wait long to see what features will come for these phones, as the One UI 6.1 is expected to start rolling out next month.
With every Galaxy S-series flagship release, Samsung debuts it with a new Firmware. The One UI 6.1 is currently exclusive to the latest flagship phones, but it will soon start seeding for other phones. According to reports, the Galaxy S23 One UI 6.1 update rollout will start in March.
One UI 6 to bring AI features to older phones
While the Galaxy AI features will arrive for older Galaxy phones with the One UI 6.1 update, we believe some will be Galaxy S24 exclusive. With the latest firmware, Samsung improved UI animations while introducing new Galaxy AI features, lock screen customization, fixed bugs, and improved performance. S23 users will likely get all these features, but there will be a cap.
We have seen some Google AI features exclusive to the latest Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, and we believe Samsung will follow the same route. Features like Circle to Search, Generative Edit, Generative Wallpaper, Interpreter, Live Translate Call, Chat Assists, and others will likely be Galaxy S24 exclusive.
Nevertheless, it’s only a few weeks before the One UI 6.1 update starts rolling out, and we will find out the features available for the Galaxy S23. You can follow our social media platforms to know when the update becomes available for your device.
