Xiaomi has significantly improved its security update roll out, which has seen eligible phones receive the latest security patch update on time. The company is also still rolling out the stable Android 13-based MIUI 14 update to improve performance and introduce new features. However, some issues have been spotted after the upgrade, and with the latest MIUI bug report, Xiaomi gives some heads-up.
Along with all the MIUI 14 bugs, some issues are being reported with the latest MIUI 13 update that arrived some days ago. These problems include overheating, random reboots, touch screen not working, and Wifi/hotspot/Bluetooth not being available. Some Android 13 devices are having issues with the network, Google Maps navigation, and Slow Wi-Fi.
All the reported MIUI 13 and MIUI 14 bugs
According to MIUI bug report vol.117, POCO M4 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 11T 5G users are experiencing overheating while using their devices. The problem started after an upgrade to MIUI 13.0.9.0 SGBINXM. Unfortunately, there’s no fix yet, as the company is still analyzing, but we expect a fix soon.
Random Reboot seems exclusive to Redmi Note 9S users. The latest update with a version number MIUI 14.0.3.0 SJWMIXM for global users resulted in a random Reboot. Meanwhile, it seems not everyone is having the issue as the company waits on more feedback. We recommend leaving out the update until the bug is resolved.
Redmi 9C users are reporting an unresponsive screen after upgrading to MIUI 12.0.14.0 QCRIDXM. The issue affects only those in Indonesia, while Redmi Note 9 Pro in that region and India have Wi-Fi/hotspot/Bluetooth problems.
Also, Xiaomi 13 Pro is having Wi-Fi issues. The problem is affecting the European models running a stable V14.0.19.0.TMBEUXM, V14.0.22.0.TMBEUXM, V14.0.15.0.TMCEUXM builds. According to Xiaomi, Qualcomm is analyzing the bug, and hopefully, a fixed build will be released soon.
Another device having Network issues is the Redmi Note 12. The problem is affecting those in Indonesia, India, and Global users. We don’t know what’s the cause as Xiaomi is still analyzing.
The issue with Google Maps is one of the issues affecting Xiaomi phones and POCO F5 Pro. While the Google Map team is still checking on the bug, you can clear the app data to temporarily return the display pointer navigation direction. We hope for a permanent solution, which will roll out via a server-side update.
