Google is investigating why some Pixel phones on Android 13 can’t use Android Auto

It is quite sad to report that some Pixel phones on Android 13 can’t use Android Auto properly. This issue seems to be affecting the Pixel 5 lineup compared to the other Pixel phones, nevertheless, it’s still an inconvenience.

The news- Pixel phones on Android 13 can’t use Android Auto – popped up when the formal stable release of Android 13 was rolled out. The issue seemed mediocre and was proposed that probably when the update settles on the background, the Android Auto will go back to how it was – but that wasn’t the case.

According to the thread accommodating all issues related to Android Auto, there have been new complaints where users can’t use the software properly. The issue isn’t as big as it seems, it’s a minor issue and the Big G is already on the case. Fortunately, Google has forwarded the complaints to the Android Auto team to investigate why Pixel phones on Android 13 can’t use Android Auto.

Pixel phones on Android 13 can’t use Android Auto: temporary fixes

Sadly, the fix for this issue isn’t available just yet, although there were some troubleshooting methods users suggested – which worked out for them – you can try them out.

A user mentioned that you can simply reset the car infotainment system while others suggest moving to the Developer Settings and tweaking the Default USB configuration to allow for File transfer/Android Auto. You could try out these methods till the Big G issues a fix soon.
