Xiaomi has got another smartphone debuting(in India) and it’s not quite the premium type we’ve seen recently. This is more like a budget smartphone with few impressive features though. The POCO C50 is here and the smartphone will be available in India by January 10 with two colours to choose from – Royal Blue and Country Green. But let’s take a look at the features of the smartphone.
Features of the POCO C50
First off, it is worth noting that the POCO C50 was initially called Redmi A1+ but the brand just decided to tweak the name a bit. The smartphone is powered by the Mediatek Helio A22 which is a 12 nm chipset. The smartphone should be just fit for mild gaming and at low settings to avoid overheating and lags. Onto the display, the POCO C50’s display is a 6.52 inch IPS LCD with 720 x 1600 pixel resolution equipped with a 60 Hz screen refresh rate.
Equipped with the Android 12(go edition) and MIUI in the software front, you get to choose from a 2 or 3 GB RAM storage with 32GB internal storage alongside a microSD slot. For the camera, the POCO C50 is a budget smartphone so you should not expect very high-end features on the flagship devices. Well, it houses a dual camera setup at the rear comprising a depth sensor and an 8MP main sensor.
These two cameras are supported with a 5MP camera at the front. You can enjoy these features with a hefty 5000 mAh battery to be charged with a 10W charger. Two other prominent features of the POCO C50 have to be the fingerprint scanner at the back and then a somewhat leather-like finish at the back panel making it a bit resistant to splash.
Lastly, on pricing, the POCO C50 is available for INR 6499 and INR 7299 for the 2GB/32GB and 3GB/32GB respectively. However, it’s about INR 6249 and INR 6999 respectively at launch. As mentioned earlier, the smartphone will be up for sale by January 10.
