Xiaomi has once again shown its commitment to improving MIUI. With minimal visual changes, the company is prioritizing the speed and fluidity of its Android skin. They have employed what they called a photon engine to improve third-party efficiency. It will help app developers achieve power-efficient applications, which might see energy-saving up to 22%.

The company is expected to release these features with the latest MIUI 14 to its phones starting in China. They’ll look to start the deployment in January 2023.
