Xiaomi officially presented HyperOS to global users yesterday, and has already released the update to a handful of users. Till now, the update has been exclusive to Redmi and Xiaomi phones, but that changes now as POCO F5 Android 14 starts rolling out with HyperOS 1.0.
POCO F5 HyperOS update is rolling out with a version number OS1.0.4.0 UMREUXM and weighs 5.0GB. Coming along with the upgrade is Android 14 and November 2023 security patch. Of course, it delivers the features of the new Android skin, which didn’t bring much UI changes.
With HyperOS, Xiaomi has prioritized improving system performance, connectivity and animations. Thanks to the new smart IO engine, intelligent network connection, and animation language. Also, there has been introduction of new fonts, while some system apps have their icons redesigned. You would notice a new control panel, which isn’t different from that of MIUI 14.

Meanwhile, only select users are getting the update for preview, with a wider rollout expected in the coming weeks. You can download the ROM using the link below and flash manually, but we recommend backing up your data before. Also, make sure your bootloader is locked, as those with unlocked bootloaders can’t install HyperOS.
