A new POCO M2 Pro Android 11 update based on MIUI 12 released. Download below…

Xiaomi seems to have turned its focus to India as it rolls out stable MIUI 12.5 updates to eligible phones in that region. The deployment has been slow in that region, but that has intensified in the past hours. We have seen the Redmi Note 10, POCO M2, and Mi 11 Lite bag the update in that region. Surprisingly, the POCO M2 Pro is not getting the same treatment, instead, Xiaomi is upgrading the device to Android 11 only. That means MIUI 12.5 will arrive much later, probably in the next coming months.

The Android 11 deployment is in the final stages as Xiaomi set sight on Android 12, expected to arrive later next month or October. Meanwhile, some devices are already testing the update internally and will probably receive the update first. As for the POCO M2 Pro, the device is likely to miss out, given it has been a single OS upgrade for mid-range devices all this while. Nevertheless, we will wait on the official list to confirm the device that will get the update, but we have an early list here.

And while Android 12 remains a doubt, POCO M2 Pro Android 11 update is not. The device is currently pushing the update, which is arriving for Mi Pilots. It has a version number – MIUI 12.0.1.0 RJPINXM – to introduce a new OS – Android 11. Aside from that, it has bumped the Android security patch level to August 2021 to increase system security and stability.

Meanwhile, there are few things to know before installing the POCO M2 Pro Android 11 update. After the upgrade, third-party launchers will stop working on gestures while chat bubbles turn square. Also, you might experience some lags and glitches, but that can be fixed by performing a factory reset. However, only do that after backing up your data to avoid any data loss.
