With MIUI 12.5 now arriving for closed beta testers, there’s only a little time to finalize the MIUI 12 rollout. Xiaomi is rather slow in pushing the update considering that a good number of devices are yet to receive it. However, they haven’t stopped upgrading the device in its stable to MIUI 12, which is currently arriving for the POCO M2 users.
The POCO M2 stable MIUI 12 update is hitting eligible users in India and comes in a 504MB package. It has a version number, MIUI 12.0.1.0 QJRINXM, and is being pushed via OTA. However, it seems only a few users have received the update, which is mostly the case with all MIUI updates. It should be ready for public rollout in a couple of days, though.
As per the changelog, the update has optimized system performance and improved system security and stability. It also bumped the security patch level to December as well as introducing to the phone, all the features baked inside MIUI 12. Some of the features need manual activation, the new control center and super wallpaper. You can check the features of MIUI 12 here.
For now, the update is limited to those in India, but we expect a wider rollout that will see the update arrive in other regions very soon. Meanwhile, if you’re running the Indian ROM, you can download the POCO M2 stable MIUI 12 update using the links below.
