POCO M4 Pro is the direct successor of POCO M3 Pro, but we have seen that design before. And yes, it’s the recently released Redmi Note 11 that POCO has tweaked again, even with its independent claims. Perhaps, they’re just another Xiaomi sub-brand claiming independence as they still depend very much on the parent company. Nevertheless, the POCO M4 Pro specs show an upgrade from the predecessor. It features a Mediatek 6nm processor, a tall display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and a beefy battery with fast charging support.

POCO M4 Pro Specs
POCO is sticking with the design of the POCO M3 Pro. The camera island is extended to cover the upper width of the phone with POCO branding boldly written on it. Housed inside are two camera sensors, although the arrangement looks like it’s four with the LED flash. At the top of the POCO M4 Pro is that IR blaster, 3.5mm headache jack, and a speaker grill. The bottom houses the second speaker grill close to the USB-C port, while that front panel has a centered punch hole and thin bezels surrounding it.
POCO M4 Pro display
POCO equipped the M4 Pro with a tall 6.6-inch display. It’s an IPS LCD panel that refreshes at 90Hz. Of course, it supports HD playbacks and over 16m shades of colors. Interestingly, the device makes use of Gorilla Glass for protection to make sure a mild fall doesn’t result in screen replacement.
POCO M4 Pro Performance
Like the predecessor, POCO M4 Pro used a MediaTek Dimensity processor. It’s the Dimensity 810 5G SOC that runs under the hood. The processor has its highest cores clocked at 2.4Ghz and coupled with up to 8GB of RAM, the device will deliver peak performance. There’s a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU to take care of graphics rendering.
Outside of the box, the device will run stable Android 11 based on MIUI 12.5. That’s because Android 12 isn’t stable yet, and the company is yet to release MIUI 13. Hopefully, the device will receive both upgrades early next year.
POCO M4 Pro camera
There are three camera sensors on the POCO M4 Pro. Looking at the rear arrangement from the rear, you’d see four camera sensors and an LED flash. In reality, it’s a primary 50MP sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The front camera is a single 16MP shooter with AI capable of face unlock.
POCO M4 Pro battery and security
There’s a beefy 5000mAh battery with support for a 33W fast charge. That’s enough power for two days while you spend like 60 minutes refilling it. For security, the device users a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that doubles as the power button.
POCO M4 Pro price and availability
POCO M4 Pro price is expected to start at $230 for the base variant, while the 6/128GB models will set you back $250. The device will be available globally from November 11, and there’s early bird price if you purchase from this link.
