Perhaps, POCO fans have been waiting for the company to debut a unique smartphone that’s not a rebranded Redmi phone. That’s probably the case as the recently unveiled POCO X3 NFC sold over 100,000 units in 72 hours. Aside from the unique design, the phone is also priced fairly and coupled with the massive discount the company is offering for early buyers, hence the warm reception.
Going by the post made by POCO official Twitter account, the phone sold 1,000 units in 30 seconds on the first sale. It took just 30 minutes to cross 10,000, and in about 60 minutes, additional 5,000 sales were made. A total of 61,000 POCO X3 NFC units were sold in under 24 hours, and in 72 hours, the sales were up to 100,000.
While the stats are impressive, the device was always going to bring in sales. It’s the first Snapdragon 732G SoC – powered phone, which Qualcomm claims offers a 15% performance uplift compared to the predecessor. The 6.67-inch display with up to 120Hz refresh rate has also enticed gamers as they’ll enjoy seamless gaming, while they spend only a few bucks.
The device can also take amazing shots, thanks to the primary 64MP quad-camera. It bags some amazing AI features, which will no doubt deliver the best shots. And you also get a beefy 5,160mAh battery that tops up at 33W. It takes 65 minutes to charge the POCO X3 NFC from 0-100.
We expect the sales to double in the coming days. The company is offering the phone at a discount price of $229 for the base variant, unfortunately that ended last Friday. The device is now priced at $238 while the 6/128GB model starts at $269. However, even at that price, the device is still priced fairly compared to other mid-range phones in the market.
