Snapdragon 732 SoC: list of Snapdragon 732G phones

Qualcomm continues to improve its 7-series lineup with the latest addition, the Snapdragon 732G SoC. The new Chipset is an upgrade from the predecessor, SD 730G, and is aimed at narrowing the gap between premium and mid-range phones.

As you might already know, the ‘G’ is an acronym for gaming, and hence, Snapdragon 732G phones will offer improved gaming performance. To that effect, the Chipset comes with an improved CPU and GPU. The Kryo 470 Prime core CPU clocks at 2.3GHz while the Adreno 618 GPU now boasts of an improved 15% performance.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G phones will feature a fourth-generation AI engine and use the Qualcomm X15 LTE modem. Unfortunately, the SoC does not support 5G connectivity, unlike the SD 765 Chipset. But with the X15 LTE modem, SD 732 phones will still achieve blazing internet connectivity, but not at the same level as 5G enabled phones.

There’s a Quad HD+ display support, while phones with the SoC can achieve 4K HDR with portrait mode. The camera supports cinemagraphs and HD super slo-mo @960fps. Other features of SD 732 phones will include Wi-Fi 6 support, Bluetooth 5, other features of the Chip remains the same with the Snapdragon 730G SoC.

Qualcomm just announced the Snapdragon 732G, and we are yet to see a device running the SoC. However, POCO and Oppo have promised to release a new device running the mid-range SoC.

POCO X3

The POCO X3 NFC is the first Snapdragon 732G powered phone. Aside from the power-efficient processor, the device features a high-performance screen for gamers. The 6.67-inch IPS panel refreshes at 120Hz with a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. There’s an intelligent DynamicSwitch that automatically adjusts the screen performance.

Another interesting feature for gamers, is the 5160mAH battery. It takes 65 minutes to fully charge the battery, thanks to the improved 33W fast charging solution. Outside-of-the-box, the device runs MIUI 12 based on Android 10, while the camera features some interesting specs. Check the full specs here

Redmi Note 10 Pro Max

The Redmi Note series continues to serve us the best deals out there. It might be an older SoC running the device, but it’s an upgrade from the Snapdragon 720 that powers the predecessor. Paired with the processor is up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and coupled with Adreno 618GPU, featuring some of Qualcomm’s graphics enhancements, you’re sure of peak performance playing resource-demanding games.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is powered by a 5020mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Even at that, it slimmer and lighter than the predecessor while featuring a 3D frosted glass back. It comes in Vintage Bronze, Glacia Blue, and Night Black.

The camera houses a primary 108MP sensor, which also features on Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. It makes use of 9-in-1 pixel binning to output detailed photos and accurate colors. The sensor is flanked by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro shooter and a 2MP depth sensor, while the front snapper has a 16MP shooter.

And for the first time, the Redmi Note 10 Pro features an AMOLED display. It refreshes at 120Hz and supports HDR10 while the peak brightness can reach 1200nits. For protection, it uses Gorilla Glass 5. Other features on the device include haptic feedback, Dual speakers, an IR blaster, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Redmi Note 10 Pro max

The Redmi Note 10 Pro is another Xiaomi phone on our list of Snapdragon 732 phones. It’s essentially the same phone as the Note 10 Pro Max, but a different primary sensor. Hence, if you’re prioritizing a better camera phone, you should go for the Pro Max. However, the prices are different, with the Note 10 Pro priced at $220 while the Max sets you back $262.

Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 10 Pro has a primary 64MP snapper flanked by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 5MP super macro shooter. The device runs Android 11 on top of MIUI 12 outside-of-the-box and will soon get the MIUI 12.5 update.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite

The fact that 5G is not fully adopted globally led to the launch of an LTE-only version of the Mi 11 Lite. It is the same device as the Mi 11 Lite 5G, buy features the Snapdragon 732 SoC. The device is offered in Black, Pink, and Blue colors starting from €299.

The device features a primary 64MP sensor, flanked by an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 5MP macro shooter. At the front panel is a single 16MP selfie camera for selfies and video calls. It supports face unlock. Power is drawn from a 4520MAh battery that supports 33W charging via a USB-C port. There’s a speaker grille at the bottom, which works with the earpiece as stereo speakers.

The display measures 6.55-inch and refreshed at 90Hz and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It features a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
