Xiaomi has released the Android 14-based MIUI 14 update to limited users in Europe, Global, and China. The Chinese tech company is still rolling out a “stable beta” build to address any issues before releasing the update to the public. This is a good plan, as users are already reporting bugs after the latest Android OS upgrade.
A few Xiaomi 13 / Pro users are having issues using Google Pay/Wallet, which we believe is due to security reasons. Also, some device users are reporting issues with unlocking screen being too slow. Another problem, but this time, is being faced by Xiaomi 13T Pro, is Raise to Wake.
Xiaomi 13T Pro units are experiencing an unusual bug where disabling the raise-to-wake feature doesn’t stop the function from working. According to reports, the feature still works even when disabled. It’s affecting those in Russia, Global, and Europe, running these version numbers: V14.0.3.0.TMLRUXM, V14.0.8.0.TMLMIXM, V14.0.11.0.TMLEUXM, V14.0.4.0.TMLEUXM. It’s an issue that Xiaomi will address in the next update, and they’re working on it.
Xiaomi 13 / Pro users will hope the issue with unlocking screen too slow resolved in the next update. It’s an Android 14 bug, as only those running the new OS are facing the problem. Xiaomi has promised to address it soon with a new update.
How to fix Raise to wake and the unlocking screen slow issues
There’s no official fix for these bugs, but you can try a factory reset. If you’re running a new Android OS, you will resolve most bugs doing that, but make sure to back up your data. Otherwise, wait for a new update from Xiaomi, which will start rolling out soon.
