Xiaomi is now seeding the Redmi 10 5G / POCO M4 5G Android 12 update to the global users. The device debuted a couple of months pre-installed with Android 11 on top of MIUI 13, but that changes now for the global units.
With Google a few months from releasing stable Android 13, having reached platform stability with Android 13 beta 3, Xiaomi look to finalize the Android 12 rollout, as more devices get the update. The company is currently rolling out the Redmi Note 5G / POCO M4 Android 12 update to Mi Pilots.
Arriving with a version number MIUI 13.0.2.0 SKSMIXM, the update brings a stable MIUI based on Android 12 and bumps the Android security patch level to improve security and stability. Also, there has been an improvement in system performance and bug fixes. Nevertheless, we recommend backing up your data before installing the update. The latest build is a cross-section Android upgrade and is likely to contain bugs. You’d restore your backup if something goes wrong during the upgrade.
It’s unclear when the rollout will extend to other regions nor when the public rollout will commence, but we expect that to happen in the coming days. You can use the link below to download the ROM if you’re using the global variant.
