Joining the budget-friendly Redmi A1 from Xiaomi, the brand will be debuting the Redmi 11 Prime and Redmi 11 Prime 5G. The three smartphones are attractive in their way and are powered by Mediatek chipsets, let’s take a look at what we’re in for with the Redmi A1, Redmi 11 Prime and Redmi 11 Prime 5G.
Features of the Redmi 11 Prime and Redmi 11 Prime 5G
Redmi 11 Prime 5G delivers smartphone qualities best among the three soon-to-debut smartphones, thanks to the Mediatek Dimensity 700 chip equipped with 5G connectivity. We’re provided with the 4GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB and 4GB/128GB storage options, although the latter isn’t up for sale just yet.
The screen is a 6.85-inch Full HD+ resolution display with a 90HZ screen refresh rate. The front camera is a 5MP f/2.2 sensor while the rear camera comprises a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. Equipped with a 5000 mAh battery and 22.5W adapter, you can have enough screen time to navigate through its MIUI 13 and Android 12.
Not surprising, you get the 3.5 mm audio jack, dual sim card tray and of course, a side-mounted fingerprint. The smartphone will be available in three colours- Meadow Green, Thunder Black, and Chrome Silver -with a starting price of about $160 and $185 for the 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB respectively.
The Redmi 11 Prime and Redmi 11 Prime 5G are in a way similar with just a few differences. One major difference is the chip, the Redmi 11 Prime gets the Helio G99 chipset. The screen structure looks the same but the Redmi 11 Prime gets Gorilla glass protection. This doesn’t change the fact that if your smartphone drops, the effect will still be felt on your screen.
The Redmi 11 Prime gets the same adapter out of the box, battery capacity, and cameras. But the selfie camera receives a little boost to 8MP. It is worth noting that both the Redmi 11 Prime and Redmi 11 Prime 5G can take just 18W of power but still get a 22.5W adapter out of the box.
The Redmi 11 Prime will be available in Black, Purple and Green colour options and will cost INR 12,999 and INR14,999 for the 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB respectively.
Different from the Redmi 11 Prime and Redmi 11 Prime 5G, the budget-friendly Redmi A1 houses a bit lower chipset, Helio A22. Although the Redmi A1 takes up the same battery capacity as its higher siblings, the other features present in the device still place it the lowest among the three. The Redmi A1 will be available in Green, Black and Blue colour options for $80.
