The Redmi 9 Power is among the few Xiaomi phones waiting for the Android 11 update. Although the update has since reached the Chinese and global versions, it has taken till now for the Indian release. According to the latest report, the Redmi 9 Power Android 11 and MIUI 12.5 update has been released to Mi Pilots. The rollout is limited to a few users, but we anticipate the public release in the coming days.
At a time, it seems Xiaomi abandoned the Redmi 9 Power. Of course, that’s not true, and it seems the Chinese company has been working on a few upgrades for the device. Having debuted with Android 10, Redmi 9 Power is always going to get Android 11, but that’s where the journey ends, sadly. However, the device will continue getting security patches even after the recent upgrades.
The Redmi 9 Power Android 11 and MIUI 12.5 update is seeding with a version number – MIUI 12.5.4.0 RJQINXM. It has introduced both features of Android 11 and MIUI 12.5 (Enhanced Edition). That means you get a revamped control center and notification panel. Also, it becomes possible to delete some system apps after upgrading your device. Aside from the few additions and improvements, the update has bumped the Android security patch to November 2021 to increase system security and stability. You can check for it on the updater app or use the link below for manual installation, but make sure to have an authorized Mi beta account.
