The unveiling of the next iteration of MIUI is likely in the next few weeks and might be the reason for a swift rollout of the current build. Xiaomi started slowly but has intensified the deployment in the past few days. That has seen phones in different regions pick the build with the Redmi 9 Prime in India and Remdi 9T in Indonesia, the latest to grab the update.
Meanwhile, the Redmi 9 Prime MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update is a limited rollout, the same as the Redmi 9T release in Indonesia. Both builds are currently under preview, and in the end, if there’s no bug detected, the public rollout will commence. We are optimistic about the release in the coming days as no bugs have been reported so far.
The update is seeding with version numbers – MIUI 12.5.2.0 RJCINXM (India) and MIUI 12.5.4.0 RJQIDXM in Indonesia. It brings the features of the current MIUI build, which has supposedly improved performance and promises more life between charges. Also, the update has enabled the Memory Extension function while bumping the Android security patch level to November 2021 to increase system security and stability. As usual, there have been some bug fixes and improvements.
Again, it’s a limited rollout at the time of this writing, but you can use the link below if you opt for manual installation. That might return an error, and if such happens, leave it for some days and try again.
