Redmi 9i specs shows the device is a rebadged Redmi 9A that was launched a couple of weeks ago. Both phones feature the same specs only that the former has more RAM and storage. There’s a massive battery that comes with quick charge support, and outside-of-the-box, the device runs Android 10 based on MIUI 12.

Redmi 9i specs
The Redmi 9i is an entry-level smartphone, and hence, the price. Its 6.53-inch display has a 720p resolution and can attain 270nits of brightness. Under the helm is MediaTek Helio G25 Octa-Core processor, paired with up to 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. There’s a dedicated memory slot, in case you start needing more. Outside-of-the-box, the device runs the latest MIUI 12 based on Android 10.
Behind the camera performance at the back is a single 13MP shooter. It comes with a LED flash and supports HDR, while the selfie snapper is a 5MP sensor. Unfortunately, there’s no fingerprint scanner. If you opt for the Redmi 9i, you’ll have to make use of other form security authentication.
Interestingly, the device draws power from a 5000mAh battery. It supports 10W fast charge, but that will take a chunk of time to juice up the massive battery. But then, it’s not every time because of the efficient power-demanding specs.
Redmi 9i price and availability
The Redmi 9i price starts at $110 for the 4GB/64GB memory combo while the 4GB/128GB variant sets you back an additional $14. The device will go on sale starting from September 18, exclusively on Flipkart. It will be offered in Midnight Black, Sea Blue, and Nature Green.
