Redmi K20 Android 11 update: first published on March 1, 2021. Check below for recent releases

Over a dozen of Xiaomi phones have received a stable Android 11 update. The rollout started in China a couple of months ago with the company’s flagship phones. It later extended to mid-rangers while eligible entry-level phones are yet to start getting the update. Meanwhile, the Redmi K20 received its first Android 11 beta update some months ago in China. The build is now seeding for stable ROM users but remains in that region.

The Redmi K20 Android 11 update is hitting eligible users in China with a version number – MIUI 12.1.1.0 RFJCNXM. It brings a stable MIUI based on Android 11 alongside an updated security patch to improve system security and stability. But as usual, only a handful of users running the Chinese ROM will receive the update for preview, and going by Xiaomi track records – the preview will last for a couple of days. After a successful beta preview, the update will then be released to the public, and that’s probably when the update will extend to other regions.

Meanwhile, if you’re running the Chinese ROM, you can scan the update via system updates or use the link below and flash manually. But note that the current update is the first Redmi K20 Android 11 update, and as such, it might cause system lag and glitches. It’s expected that you backup your data before installing the update in case of data loss. And if you experience any lag after the Installation, you should perform factory reset to fix the issue.
