Redmi K30 4G Android 11 update released in China, POCO X2 next

There are two models of the Redmi K30; 4G and 5G version. The latter has since received the Android 11 update, and now, Xiaomi starts upgrading the 4G variant. It’s currently limited to China, at the moment, and for a few selected users that’ll preview the build. The preview stage will last for a few days, and after that, the public rollout will start. That’s going to see the update extend to other regions, which is good news for the POCO X2 users.

The Redmi K30 4G Android 11 update will arrive globally on the POCO X2. Both phones have the same development, only that the latter is exclusive for Indians while the former never left China. And since Xiaomi is now upgrading the Redmi K30 4G to Android 11, it won’t be long before the POCO X2 Android 11 update starts seeding, as well.

It has taken a bit of time, though. POCO, after Google officially released the Android 11, promised to bring the update to the X2 as soon as possible. The device started testing the update months ago, and it looks like the time is now for the update to start seeding.

Nevertheless, those using the Redmi K30 4G can head over to the updater app (System Updates) and scan for an update. It comes with a version number, MIUI 12.1.3.0 RGHCNXM. Aside from pushing the OS to Android 11, the build also bumped the security patch level to December 2020. Of course, you’ll get all the features of Android 11. Most of them have already been introduced with MIUI 12, though.
