Xiaomi has officially introduced its latest high-end Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition in China. The device is a rebranded Redmi K30 with a new Snapdragon 768G Octa-Core processor. The new SoC features overclock CPU and GPU, as such, it will deliver more enhanced performance compared to the predessesor.
The battery capacity is a 4500mAh with 30W fast charging, and outside-of-the-box, the device runs Android 10 on top MIUI 11, instead of the new MIUI 12. That’s because the MIUI 12 is still in the development stage, but expect the Redmi K30 Racing Edition to be among the first adopter of the new Android skin.
Meanwhile, on the front panel is a 6.67-inch FullHD+ IPS display of 1080p resolution, with an oval punch hole for the dual selfie camera. The 20:9 aspect ratio 395PPI panel supports 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10, for an optimized screen experience. There’s a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 at both the front and back panel to offer protection against scratch and cracks due to mild fall.
Around the back panel, there’s a circular plate that houses the Quad-camera lens. It consists of a primary 64MP snapper, flanked by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 5MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor. The fingerprint scanner, like in the Redmi K30, comes off the power button.
Other features of the Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition are Dual-band A-GPS, NFC, infrared, FM Radio, Bluetooth 5.1, and 5G internet connectivity.
