It’s been weeks now since the stable Android 11 builds were made available for non Pixel phones, with Xiaomi among the OEMs to have rolled out the update to some of its flagship phones. Thus far, only the Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and Redmi K30 Pro have received stable Android 11, while others are currently testing the update internally.
The latest Xiaomi phone to start receiving the Android 11 build is the Redmi 30, which is a rebadged POCO X2 in India. It’s arriving with the latest MIUI 12 China close beta 20.10.19 build, and only those participating in the testing will receive the update via OTA. However, if you have TWRP Recovery installed on your phone, you can side-load the ROM.
Note: the Redmi K30/POCO X2 first Android 11 update is still in testing stages, and as such, it’s a beta build. Expect some bugs and system instability. Also, the update is not recommended as a daily driver, and hence you should be sure if you can live with few bugs before attempting to flash the Redmi K30/POCO X2 first Android 11 update.
Meanwhile, the POCO X2 is currently receiving a stable update in India. The update comes as MIUI 12.0.2.0 QGHINXM and weighs in at 470MB. From the version number, it’s the second MIUI 12 build for the POCO X2, and hence, expect a bigger sized update (920MB) if you didn’t receive the first MIUI 12 build.
The new update brings the October security fix, improves system security, and also fixes some minor bugs while optimizing system performance. You can check for the update via system updates or use the link below.
