Redmi has once again proved they’re the best in offering high-end phones at an affordable price tag. The Redmi K30 Pro specs confirms it is a flagship phone, but the price kept us wondering if that’s true. The design is much better compared to the K30 series and also the camera performance with the introduction of a telephoto lens. There’s a big battery capacity with improved charging speed and an in-display fingerprint reader for biometric authentication.

Redmi employed a 3D glass design to achieve the sturdy build of the Redmi K30 Pro. The device has curved edges to offer a firm grip with the volume rocker and power button secured at the frame. There’s a circular plate for the Quad camera arrangement at the back while the front snapper uses a motorized pop-up. Also at the top is the headphone jack while the USB-C port retains its position.

Redmi K30 Pro display

Redmi K30 Pro sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel. The 92% body-to-screen ratio panel supports 1080p resolution and 180Hz touch sampling rate. Unfortunately, the screen refreshes at 60Hz, unlike the Mi 10 that uses a high refresh rate. However, it will deliver peak performance, and coupled with DCI-P3, and HDR10+, the color representation is accurate. Also, the screen can reach 1200nit brightness under light and still maintain accurate details. To ensure a fall won’t result to a screen break, there’s a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, also for scratch as well.

Redmi K30 Pro performance

This Redmi K30 Pro specs confirmed the device as a premium phone. It runs the latest high-end Snapdragon 865 Octa-Core processor and comes with an X55 modem, which brings dual-mode 5G connectivity. The device is also Wi-Fi 6 certified and will deliver a strong Wi-Fi connection even in worst conditions.

To enhance the performance, even more, Redmi K30 Pro is equipped with speedy LDDPR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage (6/128GB uses LDDPR 4x and UFS 3.0). There’s a seven-layer graphite heat dissipation structure covering the battery to reduce generated heat. Also, a graphene heat layer is added to the motherboard to keep the device calm under intensive use.

The Redmi K30 Pro runs Android 10 outside-of-the-box based on MIUI 11. And yes, it will be getting Android 11 probably with the MIUI 12 custom Android skin.

Redmi K30 camera

The camera department has a quad arrangement. It consists of a primary 64MP Sony IMX 686 snapper, accompanied by 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 5MP macro/telephoto lens, and 2MP depth sensor. Unfortunately, the device lacks OIS, but EIS sets in when you’re shooting videos. The device can shoot 8K videos, and the processing time has reduced, thanks to the speedy storage.

The front 20MP camera supports 120 frames of slo-mo shooting and time-lapse shots. Other features of the Redmi K30 camera are Super Night scene, one-click VLOG shooting, document mode, and ID card photocopying.

Redmi K30 Pro battery

Powering the K30 Pro is a 4700mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging. It takes approximately 63 minutes to charge a dilapidated battery to 100%. Also, you get improved battery life that will last days on standby and will get you through the day on a decent use.

Redmi K30 Pro security

For biometric authentication, K30 Pro uses an optical in-display fingerprint scanner. The scanner is quick, safe, and will unlock your device in a fraction of seconds.

Redmi K30 Pro price and availability

The Redmi K30 Pro price starts at $425 for the base 6/128GB memory combo, while the 8/128GB variant will sell at $481. The premium 8/256GB version will set you back $523 and will be available in Blue, White, Grey, and Purple.

For availability, the device will be available for purchase starting from April 4, while pre-order is live in China. Follow this link to check out Redmi K30 pro price and get yourself a deal.
