Xiaomi enjoys reworking their phones and renaming them for different markets. That was evident with the Redmi K30 series, which has multiple variants, but somehow remained in China. The Redmi K30i 5G is among the Redmi K30 family and debuted with Android 10 on top of MIUI 11. It has since received the MIUI 12 update, and now, Xiaomi has started pushing the Redmi K30i 5G Android 11 update.
The update started rolling out a couple of hours ago and is tagged as a “Beta Stable” build. As such, only a few selected users will receive the update for now, and we anticipate a wider rollout in the coming days. However, it can be delayed if bugs are found on the bug, but we hope everything should go smoothly this time.
If you’re using the Redmi K30i 5G, you’ll receive a build with a version number – MIUI 12.1.1.0 RGICMXM. The full recovery ROM weighs in at 3.33GB, and you can download below and flash using the Recovery method. But before installing the update, you should have a backup of your data in a safe location in case it demands you perform a factory reset after the upgrade.

How to flash Redmi K30i 5G Android 11 update
You might get an error message when you try to sideload the ROM, but it should work fine with a compatible TWRP Recovery. Otherwise, you should try the recovery method. Download the ROM above and move it to your device’s internal memory. Head over to the updater app and click on the three dots at the top right to reveal “choose update package.” If you can find that, check here, and learn how to show it. After that, select the ROM you downloaded to start the flashing process.

Xiaomi is now sending out the second Android build to the Redmi K30i 5G. The latest build comes with a version number – MIUI 12.1.2.0 RGICNXM – and brings the February 2021 security patch. You can download from here: Recovery | OTA (Apply from v12.1.1.0)
