Xiaomi has been deploying the stable MIUI 12.5 update for months now. The company has started rolling out the build before the unveiling of the Redmi Note 10 5G / POCO M3 Pro 5G. However, the duo debuted running stable MIUI 12 based on Android 11 and has waited for the MIUI 12.5 update till now. According to reports, Xiaomi has released the Redmi Note 10 5G / POCO M3 Pro 5G MIUI 12.5 update. As usual, Mi Pilots are receiving the build for preview, after which the public will start getting the update.
The Redmi Note 10 5G / POCO M3 Pro 5G MIUI 12.5 update is seeding in China. It has a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 RKSCNXM – and brings all the expected features. They include instant response to gestures, more rendering power, and a new device custom model. The update has reduced power consumption and background memory usage while revamping the control center and notification panel. Aside from the new addition, the build has addressed some issues and improved performance.
Unfortunately, the third-party launcher compatibility and the ugly square chat bubble issues are still there. Also, the update revoked all apps’ permission, so you’ll have to redo them. Aside from that, there are no issues relating to performance after upgrading your device. That said, you should download and install the update when prompted.
As for when the update will start hitting the Global models, there’s currently no ETA. However, given the previous experience, we expect the update to arrive on international models in two weeks. But if you’re running the Chinese ROM, you can download the build below.
