The Android 12-based MIUI 13 update rollout is in full swing in China, while few phones have received the update globally. It’s the Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro, and Mi 11 Lite 4G, with the Redmi 9, Redmi Note 9, and POCO M2 expected to start pushing the update in the coming days. Meanwhile, the Chinese rollout has entered a second phase with the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G / POCO X3 GT Android 12-based MIUI 13 update now available in China.
Xiaomi started the second phase of the Chinese deployment when it released the update to the Mi 10S. The update has now arrived for the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G, meaning the rollout is now on the second wave. However, it’s a limited release to give time for Mi Pilots to preview the build before it is released to the public.
From reports, the update is seeding with a version number – MIUI 13.0.2.0 SKPCNXM. It comes with the expected features – new widgets and wallpapers, MiSan Font, new privacy features, and a new control center. You can check here for how to enable the MIUI control center on your Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G after upgrading.
Aside from introducing the above features, the update has bumped the Android security patch level to January 2022 while the Android version is on Android 12. You would notice other minor additions after upgrading your device, but we recommend backing up your data before proceeding.
It’s unclear when the update will arrive for global users, but since the Chinese users are getting the build, it would be soon. That said, you should check our MIUI 13 update tracker often to know when the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G / POCO X3 GT Android 12-based MIUI 13 update arrives for global users.
