It has been a past few busy months for Xiaomi with the Android 11 and MIUI 12.5 rollouts. Recently, the company started pushing both updates simultaneously for devices that are yet to get it. That seems to have stopped, given that the Redmi 9 and POCO X3 didn’t get both updates as expected. Perhaps, MIUI 12.5 build isn’t ready yet for both phones, and hence, Xiaomi had to roll out the Android 11-based MIUI 12 update. Meanwhile, it is a different situation for the Redmi Note 10 Pro as the device debuted with Android 11 on top of MIUI 12. The latest iteration of MIUI skin has already arrived for a handful of users globally, and it is now available in Indonesia.
The Redmi Note 10 Pro MIUI 12.5 update in Indonesia started seeding a couple of hours ago. As usual, it’s a Stable Beta build, meaning only a few people will receive the update. After a successful preview, which will last for a couple of days, the update will be released to the public. It will arrive for eligible users with a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 RKFIDXM – and in at 899MB package. On the update, logs are increased system stability and reduced system lags. Of course, it has introduced the features of the new MIUI OS, but some of the bugs have persisted.
The compatibility issue with third-party launchers is still there while the notification bug is yet to be fixed. Also, the ugly square chat bubbles are still there and the overlapping of the keyboard when using floating windows. We can only hope for a fix in the future and going with recent reports, Xiaomi is working hard to address all problems with MIUI. Meanwhile, you can download the update via the links below.
